Gardening
Join a small group of volunteers working on the gardens close to the Lodge. Meet at The Lodge on Tuesdays at 10:00 am.
The gardens at Lesnes Abbey Woods have a great selection of herbs, ornamental trees, shrubs and flowers. Help us keep them looking at their best!
The activities that this group undertake are varied and seasonal and include weeding, planting, dead-heading, relocating and clearing.
The work varies and all fitness levels can be accommodated. It takes place in the Monk's Garden or the gardens around the Lodge.
All tools and materials are provided.
This activity is arranged by Ian Holt, the Estate Manager.Â
Wear clothes suitable for gardening. Ideally bring your own gloves, although these can be provided. If you like kneeling pads and other aids, then bring these too. Do check the weather forecast and dress accordingly.
