Discover Lesnes Abbey and its ancient woodland
10:00 am to 4:00 pm
We are holding another Woodland Festival as part of us commemorating 500 years since the dissolution of Lesnes Abbey.
This one should be even better than our last one!
A Medieval Village: jester; cook and herbalist; medieval musicians with period instruments; green woodworkers and a working medieval iron forge.
Music; medieval dancing; shows; Morris dancing... and we'll finish off with a grand procession for everyone to participate in.
Appearances by some well loved children's film characters.
Talks, Walks A historical exhibition commemorating Lesnes Abbey; an art show; various wood based activities for everyone and a new book launch about Lesnes Abbey.
Plenty of creative crafting, woodland relaxation and other fun activities up at The Clearing in the woods.
Farmer's Market with plenty of fabulous food and drink and a special focus on the environment and crafting.
